Bergfest! Half of the nice thoughts for December are already out there. How crazy is that? I hope you enjoyed this little experiment so far. Thanks for sticking around. If you have any suggestions, wishes, dreams and nice thoughts of your own, let me know in the comments below. I’m curious to hear what’s going on in your corner of the world.
Today in the spreewittchen house it was all about packing. Do you remember how I told you my family and I drew lots this year? We agreed to wrap the presents in brown wrapping paper and then just stick the lot on it so no one knows who the Santa is. So I did that. Packing number one done.
Then I started to already pack some stuff for our move in two to three weeks. Yeah, the mister laughed at me. Hard. I DON’T CARE. Haha. What can I tell you? My excitement makes me do these things. Luckily we don’t have much stuff because we sold most of it before we left for Australia last year but still I managed to pack four and a half boxes already. Mostly books and (summer) shoes. Packing number two done.
And then packing number three: we’re going on a short trip tomorrow! Yeah. I’m pumped people. We’re visiting my lovely sister-in-law who is studying abroad for one semester and maybe some other friends if it all works out. Oh, I forgot to tell you where to…
Yep, I did a drumroll while sitting on a suitcase alone in my living room. Don’t judge me. Only nice thoughts, please 😉 Wait, where were we? Ah, AND WE’RE GOING TO…Paris! Just Sunday to Wednesday. I think it’s my third time so we’re probably going to do less touristy more local stuff. Or probably the best of both worlds. I plan to eat a lot. And we have tickets for the Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile because we’ve never been to the ‘top’. My sister form another mister suggested to check out the Jewish quarter which I’m excited about. Maybe we have a look at the exhibitions at Centre Pompidou. We’ll see. But yes, that was packing number three. Almost done.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post a nice thought while we’re in Paris. I’ll definitely try but I can’t promise anything. But either way there will be some impressions on Insta and at least a summary post here on the blog. I promise that. So, be kind to yourself and others, try not to get killed or hurt, enjoy your Sunday, eat well, do something tomorrow you wanted to do the whole year but never thought you had time for, hug someone, tell your Mom you love her, take a walk and leave your phone at home, smile at the people you’ll meet on Monday, help someone on Tuesday and let a friend know you think of her on Wednesday. There you go, a smorgasbord (I have to admit I found this word by accident a while back and I was desperate to use it – FINALLY!) of nice thoughts for the next days. May they be wonderful ones. Talk to you on Thursday ❤️
